RemiTone Music is an Afro/traditional Tanzania and french groove ensemble recognized for its innovative fusion of traditional Tanzanian rhythms, diatonic accordion textures, and contemporary melodic elements. Founded through the artistic collaboration between RemiTone and vocalist Chausiku, the project was born in Tanzania and has since evolved into a cross-cultural musical journey rooted in storytelling and cultural exchange. Their repertoire features lyrics in both Swahili and French, often blending humor with thoughtful reflections on everyday life and social themes.
Following the release of their debut EP Safari in 2017 and their first full-length album ZigZaga in 2021, RemiTone Music has established a growing international presence, performing across Europe and Africa. Now based in western France, the ensemble has appeared at notable cultural events, including International Swahili Day at UNESCO headquarters in Paris and the 2024 Olympic cultural program at Station Afrique. As a French–Tanzanian band, they offer a distinctive and authentic representation of Swahili culture on the global stage.
